Potential ordering party for the certification of a product (in further text - supplier) could be personally informed about the process of certification and all relevant information on the Institute IMS web pages, by phone, mail or information meeting. In the first contact phase the certification body receives general information from the supplier on product which should be certified. The process of certification, carried out by the certification body of the Institute IMS, consists of next phases:
The supplier applies for the certification of the product by fulfilling the official form for application. (STZ 16). Enclosed to the application for certification the supplier has to submit all documents, which, depending of standards, technical regulations or technical specifications, are requested by the certification body.
The certification body will review received application in order to determine if it is clearly defined, documented and understandable. After a positive finding of application review, the certification body colloquially (for a suppliers which are by valid contractual relationships or unchanged proposals from the previous period), or by written proposal, contacts the supplier. Next phases of certification process can be accessed after accepting proposal.
Sampling of product is carried out by representative of certification body of Institute IMS.
The testing procedure is carried out in accredited Institute IMS laboratories, or in other competent laboratories, with whom the Institute IMS subcontracts testing’s, with the consent of the supplier.
After the completion of testing and test report results, the authorized person will assess conformity of product on the basis of criteria from relevant standards, technical regulations and technical specifications.
On the basis of authorized person proposal, the manager of the certification body will bring decision on granting/not granting a certificate. If the authorized person during the evaluation find out some nonconformities, the supplier is obliged to eliminate them within a specified period and provide evidence about it.
Whence carried out procedure of the certification, the certification body of the Institute IMS will inform the applicant on results of the evaluation of conformity and obligation to put the mark of conformity on the product, as well as about a conditions for keeping certificate. In case when authorized person during the evaluation find out some nonconformities, certification body is obliged to inform applicant about a reasons for such decision.
All applicants for certification have the right to file an appeals and complaints on the work of certification body of Institute IMS. Certification body of Institute IMS will considerate appeal and complaint according to procedure STP 04 and take appropriate action.
